20090314 Santiago to Rapa Nui
| Leaving Santiago for Rapa Nui. Awake at 6am (vacation??). Four hour nap on the plane (others watched movies?!). An hour to collect baggage at Rapa Nui. One bag had nasty shellfish water/oil dumped all over it (ick). End the day with a ride/hike to Ranu Raraku (aka, the Quarry). |

| On the hike to Rano Raraku, there was a single palm tree. I was tortured throughout the hike by the though of exactly this photo. Near the end (climbing up to Rano Raraku) it finally showed up. |
