20090309 Lima to Cuzco
|
Fly from Lima to Cuzco. At most, 1.5 hours. Sea level to
11,000 feet. OK, so it's all on video, and the pictures here are of
Cuzco itself....and the video is taking a lot of effort.
There are a LOT of flying photos and movies here; see the flying page for those. |
| Canon EOS 40D with Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS at 58.0 mm; 1/2000 sec, f/4.0, ISO 100 |
| A very happy TBM in Cuzco. We were chased off the tarmac before I could figure out how to get a good shot. This was taken through the window where baggage is loaded onto the conveyor. Security guard next to it gave me a good looking over. Crazy Americans. |

| From the van. I first thought this was a smiley face (on the hill) but it looks more like a shield with a llama, a tree and a whale. Crazy Peruvians. |
| Canon EOS 40D with Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS at 24.0 mm; 1/10 sec, f/4.0, ISO 100 |
| The black sign with white letters under the closest painting says "No Photos or Videos". Oops. My bad. No really, I didn't notice it until AFTER I climbed on the wall and took the shot. |
| Cuzco, a 180 degree view from some museum. |

| This, and the next, (both wall sized) are why one should write captions the day one takes the picture. I'm sure there is a story here, but I have no clue what it is. Heck, I'm not even sure where these are located. Maybe it was the whirlwind tour of a city at 11,000 feet elevation. I was a wee bit dizzy. |
