CenAm 2008-01-11

...where we took a bus back to Guatemala City, then flew to La Ceiba, Honduras. So long, Chichi! The plan: wake up early (remember, the bus ride to get here took five hours), on the bus and back to Guatemala City. Which only took two and a half hours. Which is very good, because it took as many hours to check out and get in the air. Just another day of getting from point A to point B. After the first three photos, the rest are nerdy plane and airport pictures.

YAY! Paperwork done, ready to go...and sit at the end of the runway. You'll notice that Baja 1 is at the front of the line. This picture is TWENTY minutes after the full-frontal view of Baja 1. We probably sat here another fifteen minutes before getting in the air. It didn't help that tower let a commercial guy cut in front of us.

Parking at La Cieba was...chaotic. If there was space, they'd push you into it, double, triple, quadriple parked.

Parking at La Cieba was...beautiful. Just as the sun went down, cloud encased mountains. A couple of dead Boeing 737's.

I like the colors and brightness here, the only problem is that I wanted focus on Flight Surgeon Jim and his Maroon Mooney.....
